MANAGING COMMITTEE

Gitanjali School is managed and operated under the direct governance of the Ladies Welfare Centre (LWC), a long-standing, women-led community organisation in the BHEL Township, Hyderabad. Founded as part of the township's early community-development efforts, it has grown into a vibrant hub for education, social empowerment, and welfare, guided throughout by its core values of inclusivity, female empowerment, social equity, and holistic child development.

The LWC runs a range of community initiatives:

  • Gitanjali School: early-childhood to primary education, nurturing young minds from Pre-KG to Class VII.
  • Special Care School: dedicated learning and support for specially-abled children, in a caring and inclusive environment.
  • Abhilasha Vocational Centre: care, education, and skill-training for children and adults with special needs.
  • Community crèches & skill programmes: playschools and women-led skill-development courses for the wider community.

Under the LWC's stewardship, Gitanjali School offers a safe, secure, and green campus where children from Pre-KG to Class VII learn and grow. Its guidance shapes the school's commitment to holistic development, balancing strong academics with life skills, character building, and emotional well-being, all while nurturing a deep sense of community and national pride. From hands-on foundational learning in the early years to active participation in township events such as the Republic Day Parade at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Stadium, every initiative reflects its enduring belief in giving each child a strong and caring foundation for the future.
